It's alive, IT'S ALIVE!!! + Features

Journal Entry: Tue Mar 18, 2008, 9:09 AM

I've been more or less inactive for so long that most of you will most likely start shouting "It's alive, it's alive!!!" like I'm freaking frankenstein now that I'm slowly coming back... :zombie: Can't say that I blame you. :giggle:

So, life's been good to me the past few months. Doing pretty much what I feel like whenever I want to - a just reward for the shitty past 3 years I went through to finish up my master's degree. I plan to remain here until autumn when I'll be leaving to go back home and serve in the army, as all men are obliged here in Greece. Till then though, more good times!!! :w00t:

Have lots of ideas for photoshoots in my head and I've been trying to organise them. Can't seem to have the necessary equipment or expertise for any of those though, so I'll just have to improvise and see what happens. For instance, my Little angel... All grown up series required a studio with proper lighting. Instead I used my small apartment with natural lighting. :shrug: Oh well! It was fun at least. :XD:

Hope you're all doing ok! Till next time, take care...

My new featured deviant is: *Curtle. I discovered Morten quite lately and snooping in his gallery found lots of eye-candy! :eyepopping: In fact, I suggested one of his photographs and ^opioid was kind enough to feature it as a daily-deviation. You can check it out here and also enjoy a small sample of his work:

A new section in my journals featuring randomly some of my most recent faves. Hope u enjoy!

:w00t: A while ago I entered a photograph of mine in a contest hosted by *grace-note concerning the theme of Tempo and I was awarded third place! :excited:
I'm really happy! Have never won anything in a photographic contest before and want to thank the people that put this contest together and voted for my picture.

Here is my grand 3rd place winner! :love:

/***** END EDIT No3 ******/

And in case you didn't get it... YES!!! I just finished my master thesis presentation! It's finally over! :D :D :D :D
Still no pc at home, but that will change as I'll be getting back to a normal time schedule soon.

Btw, xmas is nearing... About a month away. Any special plans for this year?

Thanks to ^arachnid15 for accepting a DD-suggestion from me today. So, go check out that little missy doing her yoga freestyle! ;)

/****** EDIT No2 *******/

My first scary DD-suggestion accepted! :boogie: Thanks, Steven!
The vampiric theme has been overdone in horror & macabre photography, but this shot really caught my eye. So primitive, wild and intense. Hope u like it too. :)

Congrats, =noyereve! :clap:

/****** EDIT No4 *******/

A big "thank you" to Elinor for accepting a DD-suggestion made by me.
Enjoy a different approach to street photography by a very talented photographer. An eye-catching shot that leaves you wondering about the story behind the visible.

Congrats, Vincent! :clap:
